I have a 4500 and V08. Prefer the V08 currently, but still love the 4500 too. It seems to me that the V08 fits my head better and offers a bit more protection. I find myself tilting the 4500 up a bit on my forehead because after a while it pushes uncomfortably in some areas of my head
NHL teams could care less that you want a pair of brand new Warrior Luxe/Franchise custom thumb loop super custom digi toilet paper soft palm with double added reinforced custom Warrior logo backhand padding gloves or a 17 flex double kreps curve upside down toe hook stick from your fav player/team. -Bakes

Seriously dude, tell ya what, try each one on and run into the nearest wall head on, which ever one makes your head hurt the most...buy it.
Remember, you just survived a major car accident so this will feel like nothing compared to that.

The 4500 doesnt provide the best protection, its more used for looks. I have one and I love it but it really doesnt help when I get hit
Huh? I wear a 4500 and I assure you I'm not wearing it for looks. It fits well and probably saved me from a concussion when I got boarded in a men's league game last year.

They all fit differently.
I can wear a V08 in a size medium comfortably, the V10 in the same size is much tighter on the sides. As for the 4500 I can't fit into a medium as the sides are too tight. The sides are better on the Large but even on the smallest setting it's too big length-wise.
If it was for myself I would go with the V08 because it fits the best on my head.

Idea for a new topic: "Which skates are the Unreal-est?"
In all fairness, people who don't know a ton about gear might not think about fit. None of the companies marketing is gear toward getting the "right" helmet, just toward getting the most expensive. The 11k is "higher" than the 7k and the 4k, so its the "better" helmet. Not necessarily so--not even close.

i've had both, i like the feeling of having more foam around my dome
the v08 does run BIG though, i wear a medium fully closed, and i probably should be in a small

Agree. I like both.
my 4500 is a large, but my V8 is a medium
Again, the best one, is the one that fits your head the best.

For mens league it really doesn't matter. I play junior hockey, at that level it does not provide good protection
Always looking for any cool 14" CCM CLs

It's all about fit. If the 4500 fits your head better than the 9900, it's going to provide better protection. I would trust the protection a V08/4500 would provide over a E700/Krown/Re-Akt simply because the latter options don't fit me well.
