Just saw this on the news, lets hear your thoughts.

I personally like seeing him back in the fold where we'll be able to actually see him.

I'd much rather have Tippett than Roy. On the bright side, if Roy does end up being our coach at least we will have a full time goalie coach for Varly. Our part time coach Kirk McLean left a couple weeks ago.

Apparently he's waiting to see if the Avs will be able to spend for some decent player before agreeing.

pinkeye you are right we would have full time goalie coach, but Varly so far hasn't shown that he is good under pressure. How would it be with St. Patrick over his shoulder?

I don't think it's fair to judge Varly based on what he has done and what he hasn't done so far. Our defense is atrocious and don't forget Varly is our long term gamble. He's still really young I don't want to give up on him yet just because he hasn't been lights out.

Im not saying give up on him I love varly it was just an assessment of his play so far. Even though his defense hss been atrocious I have seen him give up many questionable goals but he is still developing.

Yeah he's still developing so I'll let those iffy ones slide especially the 10 goals (exaggeration) or so he let in in the first minute in games this year. It doesn't help a young goalie's confidence when the defense has more holes than swiss cheese and Matt Hunwick plays 26 minutes a night.

My favorite thing about Roy as head coach is now players like Jones and Stastny won't be able to take games off without having to feel the wrath of Roy.
