Carolina Hurricanes/Charlotte Checkers Sale?

Anyone know when these will be/were?  I'm about 90 minutes from either place and would like to try to pick stuff up.

Last I heard the Hurricanes sell to one guy only now. This has been happening for a few years now unfortunately.

If not, get a hold of someone that had season tickets, they get emails about that kind of stuff.

Think they sell to a couple guys now. 

Stickfixsouth on Ebay definitely gets a ton from them and it seems like a couple guys from the NC area on ebay get a bunch of stuff as well.

In the past they had only opened it to a few resellers and staff/invitation. They haven’t done a general public sale in about 10 years.

But this year It will be open to everyone on July 11th, but season ticket holders get early access on July 10th (my understanding is that you have to have a STH card from last year and have renewed for next year for the pre-sale). THey will be putting out more formal info on their website in the next few weeks I think.

When I've been before to the staff sale they had a smaller space to work with at their practice facility and it was much less organized...just one of the equipment managers selling stuff to a group of 30 people. They had new and used sticks, gloves, skates, helmets, pants…I wouldn’t go expecting to find a stick/gloves from E. or J. Staal, Semin, Skinner...most of the bigger name player stuff I think still gets sent off to folks that resell on eBay as others have mentioned. I did get some stick a few years back that were Sutter, Dwyer, and Faulk, so you never know. They did not have any socks or practice jerseys at previous sales, but that could be different now. Not much goalie equipment was available in the past either.

I was just about to post that. I'm excited they are selling to the general public again.

My haul from today's presale:

Lots of practice jerseys, practice socks, and an MX3 from he who must not be named...

There was a 10 item limit per person and what I would consider re-usable gear was pretty picked over within about 45 mins. Most of the protective stuff, gloves and pants that I saw were pretty trashed so I ended up stocking up on accessories because I didn't need much else.
