Best shin pads for knee brace

I recently injured my acl and mcl, I am getting a custom knee brace made and I am wondering if any of you Guys have to wear a knee brace and what would be the best shin pads to wear, or just cut out the liners?

Sorry to hear that, man. I always just go a size up to accommodate my braces – no need to remove padding.

I wear a Shock Doctor knee brace on both legs and wear them under CCM fit 07 shins. You should be fine with CCM or Reebok shins...they seem to have bigger kneecaps to me. I leave all the padding in mine and use sock tape and there's really no issue with them being noticeable to me. You'll get used to the feeling after 3 skates in my experience.
