Ok awesome thanks for info. Any recommendations on leather palms to use? I want something durable, but not too thick ya know
Id just refer to the palm material thread thats somewhere on here and just ask whoever you get to do it, if they have that palm. Id probably say mustang if you can get warrior palms but if its not from pat i dont know if you can

George's did these Eagle custom aero pro's for tighter fit & tapered gussets. They have also done shot blockers , put poly inserts in cuff roll & cuff's that didn't have them & other equipment repairs for me. Always a Great job. I send Custom the things no one else can do.

DONT use Island Sports Repair. Biggest hack job I've ever received back for a customer. If your looking for a new palm at a cheap price then go for it but its simply a palm sewn on with no consideration about fit or cosmetic looks. The gloves had more stop and starts with over stitching and dangling threads then I've ever seen. Extremely cheap price but I can't use them again.

Bay Area Hockey Repair in San Jose does a damn fine job too and they are fairly flexible if you have custom requests and such.
Do NOT use bay area hockey repair. Talk about a butcher job. Completely amateur. I had to send them to Pat for repairs AND i fought tooth and nail to get a refund from Bay Area.

Speaking of which, how is BAHR at repairing skates?
I wouldnt trust that hack with any equipment you care about.

I remember seeing this step-by-step guide that the guy at BAHR posted on reddit.
So, if you want your gloves glued and palms stitched over the old binding, I guess go with them.
Here's another with a cuff shorting and the finishing binding doesn't look much better than you can do at home.

Also, Hockey Menders is not great either. The guy is local to me so I dropped off and picked up my gloves. This was back before Pat opened his shop. Nice guy but the palms were uneven tightness. For new gussets, he just cut back the old ones as far as he could to the pinky or index guards because I'm assuming he wasn't able to remove the guards and put them back on. Let part of the old gussets cut off underneath the new ones so it's really irritating on the fingers. All-in-all, I would not recommend them.
