Nice. Their skates look the best when you can see their sublimation prints the least.

Might be a dumb question.. With these v-cuts (and the 7000 v-cuts) do you still get the deep instep from the nexus boots?

Nope, still an x90 boot dressed as a nexus. Has zero characteristics of a nexus skate other than its appearance

It's the best thing ever. A not insanely stiff, vapor fitting, black boot.

I kind of wish they would offer it as a Vapor Classic, with a simple blocky black and grey scheme as an homage to the original models. It goes completely against their attempts to phase out the tech-mesh boots though, so they never would do that.

Nice. Now I know what to look for when I want to upgrade from my 7000's.

How is it cheaper? When I worked at Warrior, a pant was X, shell was X, didn't matter on size and placement of logo. Just curious!

Same. Why would it be cheaper, they still have to do the work to embroider or screen it.

I always thought it was because Lou didn't like flashy

Would def like to know more about this

Just what Rich told me, I assume it brings down fees. Also that Lou hates the advertising it gives companies, not so much about the flash. Look to see the NJ stuff change in coming up years... It's a possibility.

Are they all x90 or are some of them the older 7.0's? Some of them have the little plastic piece by the ankle like the x90 and some don't like the 7.0...

If you see no vapor ribs on a pair of nexus 7000 then they are not v-cut. No vapor ribs on a 7000 indicate a standard nexus cut with deep instep.

I just look to see where the little white thing is on the back, vcuts have it on the heel, the standards have it up on the achilles

Oh yea I understood that but I was wondering if all the v-cuts are based off the x90's fit or the 7.0's (from the original apx line) sorry for the confusion

He fit of those two skates is almost identical. The tech mesh vapor skate hasn't changed very much since the x:60. Same fit. Different materials.

Always looking for 15" four roll/nexus gloves

99.9999% of you won't give a crap, but a nylon prototype peg that is being used by some teams (for goalie practices):

As a former goalie, I like those . Looks safer and easier to handle.
