I'm wit ya on that. And the leafs were sick.
I hate the gun metal logos or whatever they called it this year. Makes them look too shinny. Ugly as fuck. But that may just be me
Can't argue with that eloquence, but it seems to me that that's exactly what the NHL was trying to do. The Winter Classic is "classic" and they have retro styled jerseys to match. The Stadium Series has a more modern theme, and they have logos and jerseys to match. It differentiates the game and sets the Winter Classic apart. I like the idea.
I personally prefer the retro Winter Classic offerings over the modernized logos, if anything because they seem more familiar. However, having had each of these jerseys in hand and all together, the subliminated logos and "chromed" look is pretty cool. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more sublimated logos on game jerseys in the near future, they are definitely lighter weight than the embroidered ones.
If they were the price as others years your looking at 350$ and up. Rangers n flyers from 2012 hit prices around 700-1000$ on some but don't think any went under 300$
Generally, this is correct. From this year, Blackhawks and Rangers jerseys have seemed to be the most expensive, with the Pens coming up just behind. The Ducks, Kings and Isles in the mid range, and Devils the least expensive. But yes, I think game issued practice jerseys were well over $300, so start there. If you can even find one of those.
