Does anyone know why Matt Cooke has what appears to be a bear near the thumb of his Franchises? I was wondering if there was any kind of backstory to this.

Definitely a bear 
but like so many pro players and the things they put on their gear it will always be a mystery to us no matter how many shots in the dark we take, unless someone has directly asked him. Just like when Subban had a twig stamped with someone else name or what players write on their sticks etc. I know the question has been asked before, hopefully someone here knows though! Cool definitely
