Hey everyone i know it is kind of a long shot but does anyone have the barcode for malkin's easton stick curve? I want to get some custom sticks made but I just moved and I can't find my stick butts with the codes and I am down to one last stick.

I have one from last year and am looking to have some made myself. What do you need off the barcode, I have a V9 of his from last year.

Xtra - I still have those, I actuallu had a malkin RS that had more toe, I can;t find that curve anywhere!

If anyone wants pics of the barcode off of the V9 I have of Malkin's from last year (the shortened season), let me know and I will happily send you pics.
If anyone is interested in having some custom made, but to a right hand instead of left like Malkin uses, and would like to purchase some with me feel free to contact me directly, as I'm about to order some very soon.

Here is a pic of the curve, this is a grabovski that had the same curve as the malkin that i had... don't know why i ever threw out the butt end with the code on it. ugh

That doesn't look like my Malkin. I have his v9. Close to a Kreps curve, but no rocker. Pretty flat bottom.

do you have any idea a curve that is close to this all of my other malkin's do not look like this, but I love this curve but i cannot find it anywhere.

I am very interested in trying the malkin curve out, i enjoy the e28 but hate the dual lie to it, also tried the p14 and it was "ok." Have any of you played with these curves and how do they compare to the e35?

You know that whole "dual lie" is just a marketing gimmick right? The blade is rockered. Nothing new there.

Yes I am aware that Easton is trying to market a specific type of shooting style and they are just calling a rockered blade a dual lie and I am curious to try a stick that has a very similar shape to the e28 without the rocker to it. When I go now to play with a p88 or p92 it feels so much harder to shoot with but the rocker of the e28 makes it hard to receive and deliver passes. I am hoping the flat bottom of the e35 can help my issue.

It's because you're not going over the puck with the toe enough. Easton is also designed to be shot off the toe, which is why no other stick will give you the same shooting feel

I am not the first to question of Easton's durability in their sticks and you can not get a good shot off shooting off the toe of an easton thats 2 months old, the only issue I am having is i dislike the rocker or dual lie aspect of the blade

And you certainly won't be the last haha. The new Easton's are supposed to be more durable but who knows.
I meant that in comparison to a Bauer your shot might feel off due to the fact Easton's are designed to shoot from the toe. As for passing stuff, E28 is a huge curve so that might play into it, or the lie could just be wrong from you. Pro stocks are usually the way to go to keep them stiff. I find mine extremely hard which is strange

The heel to middle part of the blade is really flat, too flat for my liking. If you get that lie (5) dialed in, you'll be fine catching passes with that area. See if you can get video of you catching passes at different lengths away from your body to see if you're shooting off the ice one way or the other. I've been playing with a Leino (Kovalev) SE16, and it's really easy to catch passes with, even with a similar dual lie rocker from heel/mid to toe. It's just much more rockered on the heel.
