I am just curious as to how you guys dont get screwed over when doing paypal and hoping the guy sends the items?

I know like online auctions have buyer protection but frankly dealing with people like this is risky? or em I paranoid for nothing?

I don't mean to offend anyone, I find this site amasing. just trying to understand how it all works.

You still get Paypal protection as a buyer, but Sports2k prides itself in flawless transactions and not screwing people.

You'll discern who is trustworthy, and what people you should be weary of. Give it some time and you will be able to spot when something is off. Also, send money as goods and services instead of gift if it seems fishy.

Anyways, welcome to the site and enjoy. It's a good network of people here, so relax and have fun!

If you're uneasy about sending money to someone you can always send as goods and services with an added fee. That way, PayPal will protect you if something does happen.

With that said, if you are planning on making transactions with members of Sports2K you can check out the Feedback thread and search for their username. Most of the frequent users around here have bought or sold something in the past so you can decide what you want to do after reading through those.

NHL teams could care less that you want a pair of brand new Warrior Luxe/Franchise custom thumb loop super custom digi toilet paper soft palm with double added reinforced custom Warrior logo backhand padding gloves or a 17 flex double kreps curve upside down toe hook stick from your fav player/team. -Bakes

I think you also have to look at the kind of posts the guy makes.

In my opinion, I prefer to buy/sell something to a guy like Caps10 or Grizz rather then someone that the only posts he makes is "Interested,PM me"

While this is the safest option, it's difficult to gauge other people, such as myself, who don't have any information or knowledge to share, and use the board as a means to acquire gear that we may not normally have access to.

Part of it is to build a reputation. If you commit to purchase an item, make the PayPal payment ASAP. Within the 1/2 hour. The sooner the better. It just shows that you're a trustworthy member who isn't going to flake out when it's crunch time.

No but at least you'all ask the information, I would be able to see that you're not only here for the gear, that you're actually trying to create contacts with the other members.

Maybe i didn't formulate my last statement correctly, sorry

When you send as goods and services PayPal takes out a percentage that the seller covers.

It calculates what the PayPal fee will be if you send the money for goods and services.
