Well boys, it comes that month when your twig has broken and it's my APX, I've had it for about 3 months and it's served it's dues. I picked off a guy for about 160 brand new never used, and I can hear the blade starting to go after taking one-timers in practice. I was thinking about trying another company, I've always used bauer and had horrible experiences with easton and warrior so I'm a little skeptical of the other companies. What are the pros/cons compared to APX or modern day top of line comp sticks

My coach is high up in base and my entire team got two base sticks with our name number and team name for $20 each stick, I hated mine, i had trouble catching passes and i thought the feel for the puck on the blade was terrible

+1 on DField56's comment.

Based on your experience with Bauer, I'm not gonna be the one to say that Base is the better company. The last time I used bauer was when the ONE95 was the S***. Good puck feel, good power, nice kick point... What was not to like about a stick like that?

Compare that to a Base stick, it's about equal in most aspects. It isn't the first time I've seen people say things about their blades and how they're a little different so I guess keep that in mind. I've come to find out that the Base blade is super durable. One of the most durable blades I've ever used in fact. I try and do a lot of slap shot/ one timer practice and if you mix that in with scrimmage sessions, I've gotten tons of use out of the blade and it's still holding up fine. The stick might not be as light as most of the $250 twigs out there now but it's a great stick and I'd recommend it if you're wanting to try something new. Shaft is holding up as well. Hasn't lost much of it's stiffness and has taken serious abuse.

I got Fieldsy hooked. He was skeptic at first as well and now... Well we just put in a second order for back up twigs.

Plus, small little perks include being able to play around with picking and choosing shaft and text color as well as different kinds of blade and shaft finishes with the name and number on the name plate option  :headbang:

I love Base they have the special ops program going on right now. Just call them and they will probably get you a supernatural for 35% off. I recommend the supernatural over the savoy as it is light better feel. Beware the sticks are whippier than a bauer

I've been using Base sticks ( and shaft / blade combos ) for years now.Just got the second test stick from them.I love the quality of their sticks and the customizing options are great.

I highly recommend them. Also have really great customer service.

'Damn, I always get denied!''

Anyone was eligible to apply to test the sticks all you had to do was ask.

As I said ,highly recommended sticks.

More positivity for Base, I've ordered an OPS, and then later a shaft and blade from them.  OPS died after a real nasty slash, but the shaft and blade I use now have been going strong for a long time now.  I do wish the shaft had a more squared dimension but no complaints about performance.  For all the options you get for curves, flex and then the extras like blade & shaft texture, they're pretty hard to beat especially at that price.  the BC10 pattern is amazing

Yes, but IIRC it costs around $1500 for the mold.

If your bag has wheels, you don't.

Correct. Your curve is also made available to the public for purchase.

That alone makes it worth the 1500.
