I dont want to be that guy, but im just curious. Couldnt find a thread on this so ill just ask.  Feel free to delete.

 

Where did the name sports2k come from?

Well son, there comes a time when a man loves a woman, and a woman loves that man.  That then they get together and marginally magical things happen as they gather around their computer trying to build a website

Maybe 5 yrs ago I opened a french hockey community called hockey2k.com , I was doing gear reviews.

I created the name from Y2K and added hockey in front of it.

At the same time I had purchased the domain sports2k.com but never really what to do with it until I had this idea and decided to use it for pro stock gear.

 

Im still amazed on how this site grew so rapidly and is still growing.

i remember when sports2k used to lead to some really poorly built site  until you took the domain and that one was brought down, i do not miss the original one.  Hockey2k was pretty cool, very similar in a sense to this but not the same,

tbh me too. Who knew a hockey pro stock gear site would be so active.

Imo I feel Msh is a bit more of general hockey eq and here is primarily pro stock
