I was involved in the bidding to add to my wiz collection. I couldn’t justify that much, especially with already having a Canadian pair of Wiz mitts. Hope somewhere here got them.

Yeah definitely more than I wanted to spend but I got a raise last week so I decided to treat myself a little bit 
I've got a mailbox in the USA so hoping I don't get dinged too badly on duty when I bring them back into the motherland.

Couldn’t you just not let the customs agents see them when you drive through the border? Or how are you bringing them back?

you can,
but then you run the risk of being caught and being flagged for future crossings- also if you crossed using Nexus, you risk losing your Nexus card
