I wouldn't say this is dumb but I would say this is a very difficult thing to do. Everything you asked for is subject based on rarity, condition, location, timing and emotional attachment to an item. Those are all extremely different things for each and every person not to mention personal preference and personal financial standing.

Couldn't agree more with Numan.

Besides for sticks and skates its really hard to put a ballpark range on gloves, pants, and helmets.

Browse ebay constantly, look at completed items and peoples' selling history. Watch the buy and sel forums. You'll learn. The thing that takes time is learning the rarity of items. For example, Philly pants are very rare (orange logos on back leg) and go for huge money when they show up. Right now the market is flooded with Thrashers gear and it's going for comparatively less. That may change in a year or so. No matter how much habs gear is around it always gets huge money. TBL gear is also very rare. Luxe's tend to pull more money than Franchise if they are pro stock (not just custom). x:60 14-1" are worth more than x:60 14"........and so on and so forth for ever and ever.

Most expensive or rare:

Blackhawks
Penguins
Rangers
Habs
Wild
Bluejackets
Jets (seen only two items so far)
Islanders
Oilers
Lightning
Coyotes (never cared for it myself)
Red Wings
Flames (heritage classic gear)
Sabres

Most reasonable or plenty available:

Kings
Bruins
Flyers
Capitals
Ducks
Leafs
Canucks (sort of expensive but not rare)
Devils
Avalanche

Least expensive and less collected:

Senators
Stars
Panthers
Sharks
Hurricanes
Blues

Of course this list can vary on what item is in question. We tend to sell/trade gloves and pants more than anything.

I'm still wondering why Wolski gear goes for so much, he's injured all the time and isn't that great IMO.

Most expensive gear: Hustler pants, Franchise and X:60 gloves, RS sticks.
Least expensive: Reebok anything lol
He shot at the 2 hole....that's what she said
