In light of Runehx's recent pickups I made the call today on my own Isles stadium series set up. Considering Warrior was unable to accommodate my request, Eagle was the next logical step. Couldn't have been easier to deal with Jesse at the Hockeyshop, if you are doing customs thats the way to do it. I expect we'll see a lot of custom product coming out of Eagle soon for this community.
Glad your experience with Jesse was swell. He's been great for all of my orders. I helped out Runehx ( which is my brother ) with this set and sent him on his way to Jesse.
Everything needs to come to light because after all, this is a community/forum so here it goes. Oh, and before I start, I am by no means knocking Eagle on this.
The order you saw from my brother was placed well after August. And if I remember correctly, it was around mid to late September. After the order was submitted and my brother and Jesse confirmed that all of the specs were correct, the order was then submitted to Gus by Jesse. The turnaround time that was given was the typical 3-4 week Eagle wait time which usually turns into 4-6 weeks -- But no biggie.
Jesse had not heard back from Eagle by the 5 week mark which then turned into a waiting game. He followed up with my brother to let him know that there is a small delay in communications and that he would keep him posted about his order.
Here's the bad news. Unfortunately, Jesse came to find that by Mid December, my brother's order was never started because it was never submitted by Gus. For those who don't know, Gus was Eagle's main contact for things like custom orders or inquiries on Eagle gear, etc. Gus up and left Eagle and essentially never submitted a couple orders. One of those was my brothers.
Jesse was great through the whole process. Seeing that this wasn't his fault, he offered to talk to Eagle to see what could be done due to this huge unfortunate mishap. He was able to get Eagle to rush-order the gloves and shell. 14 days later, my brother now has his gear.
I once again can't stress how great The Hockey Shop has been. Customer service without a doubt is second to none. They've taken care of at least a total of 5 custom orders on my end, not including my brothers.
They're highly recommended. Oh, and I think his name is Steve, but Steve is the replacement for Gus. Eagle's custom orders are all caught up with and should be back to normal operation/delivery schedules with custom equipment.
