Sorry for the delay, just now drafting the letter. Let me know if you have any thoughts/changes in mind. Also, Let me know if I missed anybody who donated.
Dear Sue,
Words cannot express how deeply saddened we, at www.sports2k.com, are about your loss. Steve was a stand-up guy, humble person, and a great friend. Some of the forum members (where Steve was known as “Too Old”) had decided to come up with a helmet sticker that will honor his memory and make sure that his spirit lives on forever. Also, we generated revenue in the form of donations from the sticker sales, all of which we want to give to you and your family. Please, accept this pre-paid Visa card of $255 on behalf of all the good people at sports2k. Steve made a lasting impression within our community, one that will not be forgotten.
Humbly yours,

"I was very touched at your generous gift and helmet stickers. I always thought Steve was 'Too Old' to play hockey, but he had such a love and passion for it. It means very much to me to know how much he was respected and thought of. We miss him very much, but he is now in a better place and at peace. Please share with everyone at sports2K how much I appreciate the gift and kind words. -Sue Oldani"
I want to thank everyone who reached out and supported this idea. It's cool knowing that we can pull together as a community to help one of our own. You all should feel proud. Thanks again!

Just seeing this now.
Thanks for taking care of this Mincy.
It was a very well thought out and personal tribute to Steve.
I did'nt know Steve personally but I know he had a very positive presence here on the forum and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
