Such an awesome game and such an amazing series. A real treat to watch all of it. Can't wait for Saturday afternoon - when I will be serving chumps lattés in a café. Fuck.

I've never been a fan of Lucic, but I never thought he would go this low (okay maybe with the spearing lol)... But never disrespect someone in the handshake line IMO especially threatening them (and Emelin). It's so classless and scumbaggy. No kidding someone wanted to fight him at a club in Van. What an attitude and a disgrace to Bs fans.

And what a joke... Talking about disrespect lol. How celebrates an empty net goal?

I can understand him being frustrated, but when the game is over, it's over.
Its not like someone speared him in the balls or anything.

I know this might run counter to what other people think, but personally, I didn't think Price was all that spectacular. I thought he didn't have to be. He was solid, more than enough to win and to weather the several surges Boston was able to muster. But by and large, Montreal figured out how to forecheck hard and then clog up the defensive zone and they completely frustrated Boston. Boston was not able to force Montreal into changing their gameplan and Boston didn't adapt in the last 2 games.
The series would have been different if Boston was able to finish a fraction of the opportunities that they had. But they didn't. They also spent too much time trying to finesse plays that weren't there, or force shots through. There weren't too many ten bell saves that Price had to make. Montreal capitalized on the opportunities that they had. Poor defensive choices led them to opportunities that Rask had little chance of stopping and Montreal buried them (as opposed to ringing them off the posts or flat out missing the net). They needed the first goal and they got it in both games 6 and 7. Price was there to turn back the Boston surges. Montreal was able to score another goal in each game off of a breakdown (how many sticks did the puck jump over before Pacioretty scored). There was clearly a little luck involved in how this series went.
I thought the officiating was very uneven in game 7, and I'll admit that I did chuckle a little when Boychuk got called with 4 minutes left, which effectively took whatever momentum Boston had left completely away. That's a weak interference call to make at that point in a game 7, especially compared to what they let go for the rest of the game. But whatever, Boston never learned to play the full 60 in this series and with all that experience, should have known how to win. The series reminded me of the Washington series two years ago where Boston seemed to get frustrated and didn't adapt.
On the other hand, I get the effectiveness of the "we don't get respect" card being played by Montreal, but really, all these post-game comments about how nobody picked them and nobody respected them? Come on. What respect had they earned prior to this series? They had a Cinderella run in 2010 on the back of Halak, then missed the playoffs, then lost to 7th seeded Ottawa. Then they beat Tampa, who was playing their back up goalie. The respect card worked for them, but the reality is that they were the underdogs, and there's not a Canadiens fan here who wasn't worried that Montreal was just barely holding on for dear life until that Boychuk call and the resulting Briere goal.
For as much as I think Boston didn't play anywhere near their capabilities, Montreal did, and they did just squeak by. Good for them.
As for Lucic, he is a frustrating player to watch, and strikes me as exceedingly immature. I roll my eyes at the chest thumping, arm flexing b.s. too. And the spears and retaliation penalites he takes are mind numbing, leading me to believe that he's just not that bright. The handshake line stuff is ridiculous. Oh, and Marchand? Sometimes he's infuriating too. But anyone thinking that Gallagher isn't trying to be the same kind of player Marchand is, isn't being very objective. Speaking of Marchand, him not showing up on the scoresheet but in the penalty box didn't help. I'm not sure where Krejci was, and I suspect maybe he was hurt because he doesn't usually disappear like that. Chara looked hurt, or slow, or both. Boston had very few players who had a consistently good series.

You know we looooooveeee leafs fans
So much love!!!!
The only thing that Habs fans love about Leafs fans is kicking them when we're down. But that's OK, because we'd do the same. If the opportunity every came about...
Sometimes I tuck my junk between my legs and pretend to be a woman if that's what you meant?

I completely agree that because Price is positionally sound that he doesn' t need to look spectacular. He's the flip side of Tim Thomas's acrobatics. What I am saying is that Boston didn't find a way to be particularly tough on him and make him move around and cause him to have to come up very big, not nearly as often as the needed to.
As for the hit posts, one only had to watch the games to realize that some of those were fairly wide open nets where they did finally get him out of position, only to ring the post or miss entirely, so I think it is a bit of an exaggeration to say that he wasn't beat several more times than the results showed. Even last night Iginla had a foot and a half with which to work, only to nail the post.

I'm shocked to say it but I'm starting to like Subban. his first couple of years in the league he came across as an arrogant ass. I've liked they way he's carried himself during these playoffs though. it seems like the vets in Montreal may have gotten through to him.
always looking for non Reebok L & XL shells......

shoe i agree with you, but in my personal opinion, i kinda found that when he was calling for the puck before he rocketed that puck in when they lost 4-2 in game 5 was really really like immature, don't get me wrong, he shut me up and put me in my place. All i remember was Markov i believe was one the half boards and sub ban was up top, he called and markov held for a few seconds, then from what i remember Subban started jumping up and down like a kid whose mom just told them no ice cream before dinner. He then proceeded to score and make me feel stupid. I like Subban and he's carrying himself tremendously, and i get why he wanted that puck, i just personally found it funny the way he called for it, i imagined him saying in a whiney voice "markov pleeeeease, give me the puck, its minnneeeeee"
P.s. please no one tell me why he wanted the puck, or why he did what he did, I know. i get it. I'm not trying to argue anything and i don't wanna listen to hans fans tell me that its the playoffs, i get the whole thing and just found it funny.
Always looking for any cool 14" CCM CLs

This posts confuses me. If ya get it why write a paragraph about it hahaha.
On another note, this is one my better Marchand videos that I've found...
Still can't believe Lucic though... Holy. When he grabs his hand so aggressively and gets the crazy eyes, yikes.

Lucic is probably of the biggest idiots in the league, for such a big dude he's a big crybaby.
1) Emelin with a good clean hit, during post game interview lucic cries saying it was a low hit. (for any of you who don't think it's a clean hit, the video is uploaded by NHL.com's youtube account and the name of the video is "Emelin plants a textbook hip check on Lucic"
2) B*tch move coming right up:
