Not on ebay, but on the NHL auctions page. Do they literally just buy anything they can get their hands on for cheap, get someone to sign it, and then list the auction at 3x the price they bought it for? Like a single RBZ 40 skate signed by Giordano. The skate has no reference to the player. There's so much stuff on there I would consider as 'junk'.

Yup. They have what looks like kid's model gloves with player signatures on them, too. Strictly catering to the ignorant memorabilia collector, I guess.

I just.. I feel bad for people that buy those. It'd be pretty easy to mistake the listing as saying they are their gloves signed by the player, you know? Especially for those ignorant people out there. But whom would buy that stuff? Especially the road warrior goalie masks.

I also looked at buying lacrosse strings on there. 250$ for a lacrosse mesh + a couple side wall strings is sort of ludicrous

It's not Amazon setting that price. It's a 3rd party selling through Amazon. In the case of the skates, it's a vendor called Josephstore.
