We made some changes to the Gear Sale section of the forum.
The Gear Sale section has been divided in sub-categories.

Some topics have been moved, but not all of them, most of them are in the "other" forum.
If you would like any topics moved, please post the link here.

In the future, you will need to make separate topics for gloves, pants, helmets, skates, sticks and all other gear.
if you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate

I like the new format. Since sometimes selling an item can get buried deep with all the "bumps" and what not.

Kinda preferred it the other way because it was easier to browse but the new way does have some advantages..

I don't like it either. For most of us here we don't ever "need" a piece of gear, and If we do we post it in the gear wanted section, we just kinda browse and for me personally I don't ever need to buy anymore gear but when I have extra money I like to just browse the for sale and spend it, I guess I just liked one stop shopping better than having to look through everything now

I like it better this way! Since im a newbie to the forum i didnt get use to the past version! Its easier to see what has recently been added and its easier to keep track of what catched my eyes without going through every new and old topics that were coming back and forth to the top everytime someone was posting something!

I like the new way better. I was a little hesitant at first but now its more organized and easier to find certain things.

I like the idea but maybe it's too organized. I would maybe try pro stock equipment, retail equipment, and miscellaneous. I never really look for something particular just browse and see what catches my interest. I do understand there has been an increasing amount of members but they only come on here and post to sell then we never see them again. Maybe people should contribute to the community before being allowed to sell maybe like a probation period? Just an idea

I have to agree that I liked the original FS/FT concept better as well. I understand the change, I just feel

similar to numan. Most of us here dont "need" to find gear. Also means that instead of posting a for sale thread with a pair of pants

socks and gloves, for example, now this forces you to make three different FS posts in three different sections. Just one mans opinion

I do like Tims idea of a "probation" period for selling though. Perhaps a 25 post minimum so you can at least have a little interaction with a new member before

they can sell. Will prevent the 2 post sell and disapear guys.

I think both ways have their advantages, I do like the new way, more organized.... Idk what to think about the probation thing, maybe its because I'm new here.... that was the whole reason I left MSH i didn't post a lot but i had been there for some time and still couldn't see the sale section......

Thank you for your feedback guys.
based on my previous experience, in the long run the way the classifieds is divided will be very helpful. The site is only a few months old and somedays a topic made in the morning ends up on the second page.
In a few months this same topic might end up on page 3.
This way will help buyers search for they are looking for, some people like gloves, others pants, etc..etc..
It will also stop people of bumping 3 of their topics at the same time in the same section.

Obviously, if this does not turn to our liking, I will make some adjustments, but for now, the way it is will be tested for a few weeks.

Obviously there are some posts that will have pants, gloves, sticks etc. in the same post, but we can easily type in what we are looking for in the search bar and find it that way easy enough { certain teams, specific items, brands etc.}

Again, great job Eric, this is far the best site I've found yet, keep it up man
