he uses black tar on his stick, some kings players use it for grip, but he uses it on the lower part of the paddle you can see it at an angle

Almost all the new goalies are in the 1S graphic now.. which is a shame. They do not match the rangers colors at all. Just a dumb-ed down graphic.
