Just wondering how you guys dry out your equipment after games, I know some people just leave it in the bag till next use but I am too anal about having wet damp smelly equipment haha. I like to get my stuff aired out asap and disinfected also just to keep it fresh and clean. I also live in a 1 bedroom apartment so storage is tight, I like to keep most of my stuff in the main laundry room/ closet with fans for my gloves and skates and I have another fan to keep the air moving for the other stuff also, then all my jerseys stay in my closet with my cloths lol. heres a pic just in case anyone was interested, please post pics of your set ups!! maybe I can add to my set up lol

I use the rocket sports equipment dryer. Honestly the best thing ever. Gets rid of the stink and all your stuff is dry in as little as 30 minutes.
Always looking for BOSTON BRUINS gear!

What's the smell like when you're running this thing? I'm interested in buying one, but I live in a small apartment, and my fiancee would kill me if our apartment reeked.

I spray febreeze if you leave it in a closed room you shouldn't smell anything outside of it.

I like the stall! Really want to build one someday once I get more space! I use Lysol disinfectant to keep odors under control. Im also 6'1" 215 lbs and I feel like I sweat way more then most people I play with haha so i take pride in not smelling like duckbills while on the bench.

Yea i use the hanging air dry method. Works good to get the stuff nice and dry.. About every 3 months ill soak my shoulders and shin inserts to get that yellowing and whatnot out.

i use this thing for my skates:

https://www.maxxdry....oduct/MaxxDrySD

and everything else i just hang up and air dry. the only thing i'd do is leave my helmet upside down so more air can circulate through it.

I wash my helmet out with alcohol and and rag once every 2-3 weeks and i find that wearing a base layer most likely helps keep the smell of equipment down.

I never leave equipment in my bag or in my car. That's just disgusting and gross.

this is an old picture as the only thing that I still use are those elbows and shoulders, but I picked this gem up at a walmart to dry my gear.  Currently I can't use it do to a new living situation, but a very nice cheap option

Is the amount of heat it puts out a concern, especially with a highly moldable skate like Makos or VH Footwear?   Does it use a fan?

I tried one of those boot dryers for my skates and it never seemed to work well. I just spray everything down with disinfectant spray, hang it on a rack I made and put a fan on for a couple hours. I picked up and oscillating fan with a timer because I was always forgetting to turn it off.

Everything was about $20 to make. I hang the skates on the carriage bolts wrapped in tape. Perfect height for the fan and does the job. I've made a couple of these since I took this pic last year.

i use the low watt version. it's like 12watts, it dries over night by just having an element inside that heats up and warm air passes through the boot. there is no fan in my version and it doesn't make any noise. It's not for super quick drying but it works very well.

Current drying setup in my apartment. It's the only way my fiancee lets me dry/warm up my gear. I place a fan in front of my gear, close the door, and pack it up 2 hours later.
