They get it early because they release the items at almost the same time during the day. So they don't wait for a email they just refresh the page during that time to see if anything has come up.
And what time is that? Clearly I haven’t learned my lesson

This might not be anything new, but I ordered a pant shell last night and was only charged $5 USD shipping. Perhaps they're finally adjusting their shipping rates based on what's actually being purchased?

Good find. Shipping for gloves is about $8, and pants is about $13. That's pretty reasonable, and a very nice change from the inflated shipping prices they charged before.

maybe they've dropped Fedex as their shipper? USPS Priority has come a long way in the last 10 years.
