Hey guys,
Over the past few years, I've always thought the 15~ patterns we see on the market today are not really the holy grail of hockey sticks, especially since more and more 300$ OPS are sold for less and less replacement blades. So practical, especially since I moved back in Belgium, EU , where hockey eq is a pain.
I'm a CS and I thought of programming a blade customizer, where you would define lie, curve and openness of the blade and also choose the length and type of hosel (tapered/standard/elliptical).
An STL file would then be generated from all those data point.
That file could then be sent to 3D printer for ABS or CNC for mould for glass/carbon.
Sadly I'm not a senior dev so I'm pretty much nowhere on that project, I wondered if somebody would be interested in collaborating so we could actually make this become a reality, and disrupt the stick manufacturers!
http://vazy.livehost.fr/This website will generate an STL file of a customized vase. (page project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:237631 )
This is a post to see who's potentially interested, hence defining the tool's feasibility.
Cheers,
Romain
