In case you missed #1: http://www.sports2k....are-of-busterd/

  • Important to note: I'm not against those who change their minds on deals nor if they decide to do business with someone who made a better offer, but the way in which he canceled our transaction, really speaks volumes to his character and maturity level.

He had a pair of Hossa Hawks up for sale on Ebay (they'd been up for about a week). On 6/4, I sent him a few offers ($200, $225, $235), but he wasn't willing to come down more than a couple bucks ($10). So, today, I finally said the hell with it and bought them for the asking price:

A few minutes after I bought the gloves, I got a private message from Buster_D on S2K:

N6tC8Ld.jpgAfter he didn't get his way, he removed me from the S2K conversation (I only have the e-mails left as proof), canceled the eBay transaction and refunded me my money :

I have a feeling that if I would have answered the first PM with "No, that eBay user is not me," then none of this would have ever taken place. Seems like this guy is a bit shady and childish, and apparently isn't hurting that much for cash if he just refunded me $270! Either way, buyer beware! He should really reconsider how he treats his buyers and fellow S2K members!

Wow, my memory is actually pretty damn good (I drew up my responses from memory for the e-mail portion)! But, turns out... I forgot I still had the S2K conversation up on my phone:

I am hurting for cash but it's my choice in who I deal with. You speak of helping other members out but you weren't willing to ignore ebay all together and have the deal done on here and I even stated Id eat the PayPal fees. The $10 paypal fees I would have eaten to do the transaction here is almost $20 difference compared to getting 10% docked off the top from ebay and then PayPal. I really didn't want to sell them in the first place and If I choose not to sell to you that's my option.

For everyone I have actually dealt with they can speak for my character and maturity as if my feedback doesn't already do so. I am not going to let a few bullies on this site who do not like me jerk me around.

Thanks mc88 for pointing out your unwillingness to help out another member and it was your stubbornness to do so that led me to not want to deal with you all together and issue a refund. To clarify, what I meant by eating the fees was I would not ask that the seller sent the funds as a gift as most sellers ask, but rather avoid ebay all together and help me save a few bucks from fees from ebay.

Oh yes! My stubbornness to meet your asking price on eBay and NOT do a shady back-end deal outside of eBay that clearly benefited you and not me in the slightest? Yup... I'm at fault here! :wtf:

It's alright, keep your gloves, I've already reported you to eBay and left you feedback accordingly.

In all my dealings through S2K... by giving away free gear, meeting S2Kers for face to face transactions, working out deals with my buyers, and even offering a helping hand by creating and fulfilling a request list for an equipment sale... I've never met anyone as unwilling to negotiate, a shady and dishonest seller, and, ultimately, an ungrateful person as you. Please, take your business elsewhere.

Thanks, I will keep them. 😎

Shady back-end deal? I guess I was under the impression that this community helps eachother out and that's why I PMed you to see if it was you and it was but apparently you don't help fellow members out and that's ok.

If the roles had been switched, I wouldn't of had a problem accepting a refund and completing a deal through here as ebay already makes a fortune on fees as you should know being a member of ebay. I'm sure anyone here would rather make a transaction here over ebay to avoid the fees and I didn't think what I was asking was that BIG of an issue for you.

By the way I have had transactions just like this one but ended up completing the deal and both parties walked away happy.

If we were all about helping fellow members out, then a deal should have been cut where you tried to meet him in the middle. Agree on a price where you end up getting a net total of more then 250 minus 14% fees, while he pays less than 250 out of his pocket. That way its a win win for everyone involved.

As it stands, there's absolutely no incentives for him to complete the deal off ebay since he still has to pay 250 plus ship regardless. You are asking him to help you out, but you are not helping him out even a little bit in return.

Thanks cott.

Had he agreed to help I most likely would have sent him an invoice for something cheaper then he agreed to on eBay but that is something we'll never know now will we? But after he said he wanted to stick to ebay I dropped it, moved on and sent him a refund. At the end of the day they're my gloves (that I bought from scott/Ucla) and I can sell them to whoever I want to. Had he seen my original posting on here none of this would of even happened but hindsight is 20/20.

he paid full price on eBay where you willingly posted them for sale.

End of story.

Why not message him after seeing his username on the 3 offers?

If you are fussy about who you sell your gloves to the WORLD WIDE WEB is the wrong place to take them to sell.

Justifying "why" you did what you did is showing a lack of character on your part.  Buster_D, man up and admit you handled this poorly so we can all go on with our lives....
