Members!

My friend and i are creating a hockey database for just pro stock patterns since there was never really one, and the original DB was just retail.   So we're putting some legwork into getting everything possible for this one.  We have the URL already set up and we're working on the site.  We are looking at building up from pros right now and onward.

So the gathering of curves is rolling

I'd like to say that We need your help.

Assuming you have pro stock sticks (you're lying if you say you don't)

I need the following from whoever volunteers theirs:

1. The picture of the curve from above

2. A picture of the face but its not mandatory

3. The stick code if the stick has one visible, don't tear up your stick looking for one, if there isn't one, so be it.

4.  The Brand and Model of the stick, meaning if its a SE16 dressed as a S19 (like Subban) tell me so.

This is so we can offer an example of that players curve to the public through our website.

I encourage Goalies to do the same please

You can post them here, or message them to me on Facebook, or text me if you're one of the few who have my number

as for an example

I'm going to make it very simple:

This is A Strome Reebok 20k dressed as a Ribcore

So you would write:

R. Strome - Reebok Ribcore (20k repaint).

(One stick per picture and clear/in focus, i'm trying to make the database as professional as possible.  Like this, not the selfie stick type of shot of the curve please. )

This is a really cool project. Not to add work to an already ambitious idea, I think you should consider making the blade face shot mandatory. That's a very big factor in how a blade plays. I'd almost say make the backhand face mandatory as well. Also, you could include information on blade length and height, to make comparisons much easier. Finally, the set up for the profile shots should be standardized, so people are careful not to accidentally correct for a visual bias to make the blade appear straight at the heel, or to interpret "from above" individually, which can make the same curve can look much more or less open depending on implementation.

We're working on getting a domain set up. Our goal is to get a list of all pattern codes from every company and list that with each players page to make it easier when people are trying to figure out what each one is. It'll include a search option. Currently we're working on accumulating as many photos as we can as well as lists of codes. If anyone has any way to help get lists from companies themselves, please contact myself or the thread creator directly.
