Should I go plus one or stick with standard large?

Yes, they run short. I normally wear a large in other pants but +1 in CL.

Doesn't this conversation already take place somewhere?

One95s have a much more broken in feeling even when new. CLs are pretty stiff until they're worn for awhile. Agree that CLs run short and a size smaller than normal.

CL are definitely lighter than One95, but the new Nexus pants give the CL a run for their money. I dont have a pair of CL here to compare, but I'd say they are pretty damn close.

Also, the thigh pad shape and fit is much more comfortable on One95/Nexus. I really cant stand how bulky and odd shaped the CL thigh pads are. They dont seem to hug your leg as well as Bauer.

NHL teams could care less that you want a pair of brand new Warrior Luxe/Franchise custom thumb loop super custom digi toilet paper soft palm with double added reinforced custom Warrior logo backhand padding gloves or a 17 flex double kreps curve upside down toe hook stick from your fav player/team. -Bakes

For a while I loved the One95s. I liked the fit, the protection and they passed the mirror test. More recently when I had a chance to try the cl's I fell in love. You instantly notice how much lighter they are than the one95s (haven't tried the nexus) and they fit me even better than the Bauers. Overall I think you can't go wrong with either but I prefer the CL's.

For a while there, Grizzly said they were the best....  so they were.   :usa:

I found I liked the CLs better, not because they were lighter, I just prefered a pair of pants that came up lower in the midsection.

I just went through this... For reference I am 6' 230lbs lean with Hockey Hips & Ass. Been wearing the same loose fitting Tackla pants for 20 years.

XL One95's - 4.4lbs. (weighed with a hand held luggage scale)
I bought XL One95's and they were a little tight in the hips and legs and a tad long.

XL UCLP's - 3.6lbs
Got a pair of used XL UCLP's from the Flyers and as soon as I put them on they felt great... Nice and loose in the hips and absolutly perect with the leg zippers open. Length is also perfect.

XL HP45's - 3.8lbs
Picked up a pair of Milwaukee Admirals XL Hp45's and as you all know they are almost identical to the UCLP's with the exception of having the length Zipper and being a one piece pant. Fit was expectedly identical to the UCLP's aside from feeling a little shorter zipped and too long unzipped.

Always looking for Pro Stock P91a RH 87ish Flex Grip Bauer Sticks.
