Pick up has been continuing again this winter season of 2016-17
As some of you already know, I organize a pick up hockey session in Mississauga at 10:45PM on Saturdays. It is at the rink right by the 403 and Matheson in Mississauga, which is 10-15 mins from the border of Toronto. People come from downtown at spadina, burlington to georgetown and other areas.
Good turn out every session but sometimes spots are open. Each week it is on a first reply first serve basis. If you reply and it's over capacity then you go on the waiting list.
It is a well run shinny and is a good decent fast paced session. It is NOT recommend for beginners. Players are generally intermediate to Junior A and OHL and sometimes higher depending on the time of year.
There are ALWAYS two goalies.
Some 2k members are regs and some come out when they can, but i have many other good players that come out as well.
Rules are:
- No contact
- No slapshots
- Bring a light and dark jersey (NO grey or Yellow)
- Full equipment (shoulders optional)
- keep the puck low
- No BS
- Use common sense
This is a pretty good group of people to play puck with. It gets pretty competitive but it is clean.
