Hey All !! I know this maybe in the wrong tread so if it needs to be moved please do so...

 

 

Over the last year I've been apart of this website I've had a chance to meet some great people that enjoy the GREAT game of hockey and better yet enjoy the great NHL gear !! Some members I've meet face to face and others just over text but one member on this board has gone far above a cyber friend,him and I have developed a very close friendship but have never met face to face...

 

 

I've faced some very hard times in my life over the past few months,with my wife leaving me and my 3 young children has been the hardest thing I've had to deal with in my life!! Needless to say were making it though with the support of great family and friends!!

 

I just want to send out a BIG thanks to Marcus Myers (AVEM7) for all the support you've given me over these hard times,even tho I've never met you face to face I find you as one of my best friends!! Thanks for everything!!

 

This guy sent me a unbelievable package today filled with a pro stock collectors dream!!

 

There just isn't enough space in Feed Back to express just how great this guy is !!!!!

Thank you so much chad. I consider you one of my best friends as well and I'm so very glad I could be there for you in a time of need. Good support is the best thing a person could ask for especially when it feels like the world is crashing down on you. I will do it again if you ever need it.

I'm still relatively new here; but man, that's awesome!  Respect to you guys.  The best teammates always have your back; it's great to hear that Marcus has yours.

 

Life itself is the biggest battle there is.  I don't think there's any question that you want to go to battle with hockey players on your side.  Your teammates have your back in hockey like no other sport.  I don't think that other sports provide much competition in that respect.  Good to see an example of the brotherhood alive and well.

 

Keep your head up, Chad.  This is a huge team.

Thanks for all the kind words people ! I've been apart of this great sport for over 30 years. I've made some life long friends from Hockey some of those friends since I was 6 years old. Marcus has been a great friend and what he's done is something I will never forget. He was one of the first people I turned to when everything happened.

Me and the kids are getting past the worst part of it and during this time I've been able to sustain their home to keep them in their childhood home. It's gonna be a hard battle for the first few years but we'll make it and come out on top !

Marcus truly is a standup guy and deserves every word spoken for him! Everyone goes through struggles in life, so it's important to have people to support and encourage you when you need it most.

I love hearing stories like this. I got to say some of the people I have met on this site are true friends. I've actually met someone I consider a brother on this site. The hockey community is amazing.

Thank you Kyle. That really means a lot to me. I too have met some amazing people on this who I do now consider friends and I would do the same for them if they were in a difficult spot and needed something to lift their spirits back up. Kyle and Chad and you other members who I have yet to meet and or deal with. Thank you so much for the kind words but thank you even more for understanding when a fellow brother in this sport is in need of help and acknowledging them to help them in truly a very difficult situation. This site to me is more about the friendships than anything else. The pro stock gear is just an added bonus.

This forum has been a great place. I've also made many contacts that have helped me and vice versa. Also i have met a whole bunch of members through the site with whom i skate with on a regular basis and come out to my skates that i organize.

 

The majority of people on the forum are pretty solid, a couple duds but that's expected when you've dealt with that many people.
