Hey Guys
I was wondering if any of you fellow 2kers have had a chance to check out the STX line should Surgeon shoulder pads. Just curious as to what some of your opinions have been. I've kind of had my eye on them for a while but the only place that I can seem to find them is Hockey Monkey. They only carry them online and I'm very hesitant to buy a piece of gear with out trying it on.

I have a pair getting delivered of shoulders the surgeon 500. I'm always on hunt for lightest low profile shoulders . Got a small hope they fit .

I have some surgeon 500 elbows being delivered on Thursday, interested in the shoulders as well. Only have read one review and it seems they are very protective and low profile, a hockey protective lacrosse shoulder pad. My lhs is 12 hours round trip, so trying them on is out of the question, taking a chance with elbows..

I got the elbows. They are ok- they seem a bit on the heavy side (not sure of weight tho versus the competitors), and the bottom strap has a way of finding its way around the bottom of the pad. The mesh seems to do its job keeping the pad on, but it gets a bit wet and takes forever to dry.

They are fine tho; the only other elbows I would prefer to wear would be the CCM RBZ/ QuickLites, which might require additional wrist protection since they run so short.

I got the shoulders surgeon 500 I had to return for bigger size small to medium .i actually think I need a large because no chance in hell any Pittsburgh has these I had to order them .if you're interested in a med pair I'll sell for a 100$ . They're awesome low profile and chest back padding is form fitting . The sleeve on shoulder pads is cool too makes me feel like they're not on . They don't asborb sweat either so they stay light all skate . I need a large because the shoulder cap is small and sitting on top of my shoulder more than hugging over it . Sucks I thought med would work but just a hair too snug .

For reference I'm 5'11" 195 . Def went against they're sizing I like shoulder pads snug but these are totally different way of fitting . More true to size fitting for sure because if I used Bauer or ccm in recommended sizing they'd be huge on me . I always size down at least one but these are rare in true to size .
