They are awesome. A little light on preorection in the trunk, but very nice pads

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

A bit too bulky for what they are in my opinion. Went back to my Sherwood Frankenstein shoulder pads with Bauer vapor caps

I just sold a pair to Monty, I never wore them as they were a little too much protection for me. Just trying them on they were extremely light and mobile. Surprisingly the caps are a tad bulky too then I would liked.

Interesting to know that they are bulky, I excepted the opposite :)

I'm coming from super duper small shoulder pads, itech sp50, so anything I wear is going to feel bulky, I should've added that caveat.

The shoulder caps look like they should be very low profile, but they do ride higher than I would like. The floating spine pad also makes it difficult to put on a jersey without getting it caught. Once I source the right pair of tiny caps I'll do some work on these. The pair I grabbed from Frank is different than the one linked, but likely just in graphics/ foam density.

Reilly Smith wears them, and they dont seem to be bulky.

After some mods, these are my favorite shoulder pads. They do sit high, and the caps in Reilly Smith picture look different then the ones on my 844's. Once I moved the caps lower a couple inches, they looked and felt like a more protective 5030.

I ended up picking that pair up and just skated in them this morning. I was in some CCM RBZ's and wanted to try something new. I absolutely love these. Low profile and don't get in the way at all. Great protection, and the range of motion was far better than even the RBZ's. Very happy with them.

imo eagle have the best shoulder caps with soft padding. bauer and ccm are too stiff
