For me, mostly skate stuff, sometimes when my laces aren't completely flat, that bugs me (OCD) and 100% agree with the cuts on the fresh stick tape job. ruins my day.

When guys use twigs that are half broken and round like a vibrator every time it hits something, always drives me nuts lol. I know personally if any of my sticks sound broken or have any weird sounds that aren't fixed by taking the plug out to shake whatever piece of something shook loose out, then I stop using it forever

Pant leg bottoms that catch on the top of the shin pad. I've mostly solved this though by moving from Hustlers to the shorter Covert pants.

Biggest pet peeve has to be laces. It's worse for me working in a shop seeing kids completely disrespect their gear. I can't stand when the laces are rolled up and look like a rope or a round shoe lace though. Following that would be rusty rivets or rust on the Holders, don't know why but it bugs me haha.

When my elbow pad Velcro snags my jersey and my elbows come undone. That and having to re-tie my skates too much.

Double tie your knot. My first rabbit ear knots are done tightly. Then I add another knot on top with light pressure when I tie it. Not once has my laces come undone since I started doing it. Unlacing is easy too as long as you didn't tie the second knot super tight.

THIS is officially the biggest equipment pet peeve I have. Pulled my skate out of my bag last night for an 11pm game (packed it in a hurry, not paying too close attention) look at my skate and realize that there are a total of seven loose or completely missing rivets. I have been having a huge issue with rivets pulling out. I take excellent care of my skates, the footbeds get pulled after every skate, they are hung upside-down, and a fan is used to dry them. Luckily, I live close enough to that particular rink that I could run home, grab my backups, and make it back for the start of the second period.

wow that's crazy you pull the footbeds and it still happens. How much do the rivets spread inside the boot when theyre put in? Maybe the rink is going too short

This is the exact advice I have gotten from a few people, and I am going to request longer rivets tonight when they work on them. My 50Ks are custom because of the size discrepancy between my feet, so while I had backups, it was like having a Kleenex box on my left foot.

Have you had those rivets replaced before? Seems really weird that they, especially the copper, would be gone like that. It does seem like a poor replacement job: too short of rivets like you said and not putting the copper on properly either.

When you are skating with your Shins over your tongues and later in the skate your shins move slightly lower and you hear the sound of them rubbing on your 1x skates and making a clicking sound even though they are the right size for you.

When the 360 strap on my STX Surgeon slides off the elbow pad and wraps around my forearm. It usually only happens when I take my jersey off after a skate. None the less very annoying.
