Anybody have one of these? I just picked one up and was curious if anybody had any tips or tricks to share.

I don't even notice it on my helmet... it's incredibly light.
I have the same issue as others, although I think it's wind noise it's picking up and not breathing. I tried it at 720p and wasn't all that impressed with the picture quality...
Gonna try it again at the 1080p setting.

My teammate has one and it's pretty awesome. However it began to malfunction after 4 months of use. After emailing back and forth with uHwk for a couple weeks, they claimed to ship a new one, but didn't, and stopped replying to emails. It wasn't until my teammate wrote on their facebook page to complain publically that someone got back to him and finally shipped a new one.
My teammate uses it at 1080p and it's excellent. Obviously the picture quality is gonna be bad because you're freezing/pausing a video.

I hope 1080p will be substantially better. I included the screenshot because it was indicative of the overall quality of the video... in other words, the whole thing looked this way, paused or not.

1080p for them is at 30fps. Which is pretty bad for recording hockey...
With today's tech it should be 1080p at 60fps at the minimum.

After upgrading the video quality to 1080p I saw a marked improvement, so that's cool. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the camera itself.
However...
I used the camera in a league game this past weekend... at about the 12:00 mark of the 3rd period, one of the refs cruises over to me on the bench, looks at my helmet and asks, "Is that a camera?" Long story short is that these apparently are not compliant with USA Hockey rules, and even though it went completely unnoticed for a majority of the game, I was told that I wouldn't be able to use it in the future.
Just a heads up to anyone thinking about buying one of these, as UHWK conveniently doesn't mention this on their website. Had I known this, I may have thought twice about dropping $200 USD on one.

What's the difference if someone records the game from the crowd. What are the issues with having it on your bucket
For the extra $$$ I'd just get a go pro. It may not be as sleek or blend into your helmet as well but picture quality and versatility of uses for other than hockey outweigh the costs for me

I always assumed it was due to insurance. Like having non hockey related equipment on the ice despite being pretty unnoticeable on a helmet.
That's kinda what the ref implied, that it was the mounts that were the real issue.
Funny thing is, with the UHWK the mount is literally an elastic strap and two rubber bands....

Don't knock the video... I am trying to figure out editing for a project I'm starting in the new year based around hockey. Here is some footage of the Uhwk. https://youtu.be/-P_QiDAN-7A
I also give me thoughts on the Uhwk/GoPro

What about waspcam? In my opinion quality is better than gopro. Copy and paste and check it out:

in that video he is comparing it to a pretty old GoPro. I'd like to see it stacked up against the GP 5.
