I'm reaching the end of my last batch of prostocks and I recently used a One95 for the first time and I'm in love. Not as good as the old XXX Lite but Bauer sticks from that era are just miles above anything on the market today. That is, until someone said that the TRUE SBP is pretty much the same stick. If this is TRUE, I would love to get a 6 pack of customs with the curve I've been using for the past 5-or-so years.

Does anyone have any experience getting customs from TRUE? Will they make custom curve moulds if the curve isn't already in their player database?

Custom everything.

They do offer 6 min order for custom sticks i believe 6.0 SBP, 5.2 SBP, and xcore9 sticks.  I used to work at a shop and they had a sheet to order.  I would contact your LHS.  I do believe they will accomodate a mold if you supply a sample blade (Someone correct me if i'm wrong).

That's exactly as I understand it as well

I believe the 6 minimum is to make up an existing pattern, with custom flex, shaft, height, grip.

I can't see any company making up a new mold for only 6 sticks.

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

I've been told by a rep on True's Facebook page that they do accept custom orders through your LHS.

Sent them a blade and made an order for 6

If you or someone else has their hands on that sheet I'd love to see it.

Do you know if they were able to change the lie at all? The pattern I want copied is a lie 6 but I would love it to be lie 5.

Custom everything.

I don't have the sheet anymore as the store I worked at is no longer open for business. It just listed a few stick models, multiple flexes including non-retail flexes, clear non grip, matte grip, regular grip, multiple patterns. And if I recall it said something at the bottom about sending them a blade sample to replicate.

Yes TRUE can do custom sticks with custom blades with a 6 piece minimim. I have the spec sheet buts it's nothing to drool at.
3 shaft/blade models to choose from.
Blade stiffness
Blade texture
Grip/no grip/texture shaft
Shaft shape
Flex 75/85/100
Extended height.
That's pretty much it.

Any idea what the cost is per stick approximately?

$200ish for True, $150ish for CCM. Not sure about the other companies as I haven't inquired about those.

Also, if you have to ask...

Custom everything.

I'm surprised CCM would be $150.  That's lower than what NHL teams pay.

That is for a curve already on file without producing a new mold. NHL teams get a price break because they usually order by the dozen not by 6.

My local CCM rep quoted me at $209 per about a week ago.

If they do, they don't advertise it on the custom form. They are also very vague with their true "Pro Stock" patterns, so I can't rule it out completely.

CDN vs US can make a difference to the price. I got my Triggers done in the states when the exchange rate was more favourable because it ended up being more cost effective to go with the USD price.
