I had to google these because I never heard of them and thought they were some special wheels or something lol. Any reason behind using entry level skates? Skates are the most important part of ones gear, so curious about your reasoning.

I found them the other year when looking for new skates and felt SMU offered a lot of bang for your buck. I’d hardly agree with you about being entry level though. They’re X800 shells so they’re curve composite with X900 tongues, liner, and outsole, along with 1X abrasion guards/pads at the ankle. So while not the 1X, they’re substantially improved over the standard X800 which was 3rd tier from the top. Threw on some Step Black steel and Superfeet insoles and they’ve been great skates!

You may have looked at the non-plus version which was based on the x500 or one of the entry level boots

Gone through a number of different shins and elbows. Found the 1X Lite are the least worst options for now.

Absolutely loved the Alpha DX elbows but they’re too long on the forearm.

Every other shin I’ve tried ends up cracking on the knee (CCM) or cracking on the shin area (Bauer & CCM). Been through at least 5 pairs in the last 18 months. Any suggestions?

Jofa 5090/Reebok 7k/8k Pro made in Sweden. Expensive, but worth every penny. I have used mine since 2014 and they just have some wear on the graphics.

How's that 2S girdle working out?  I've been in a Total One for almost 6 years and it's starting to vaporize...

Super light, not bulky, strong velcros. Fits amazing. I used to have the Total One NXG and MX3 and ended up selling them because I liked the fit and lightness of the 2S Pro more.

How does the Jetspeed girdle feel? I currently have the Super Tacks and wonder if it's worth upgrading.

Haven’t used the Supertacks and rinks are still closed here so I haven’t had a chance to try the Jetspeed either but initial impressions are good
