Hey All,

I'm taking two weeks of vacation in May to tour Eastern Canada and plan on bringing my equipment along to skate when possible. Does anyone have any recommendations on some high level pick-up I could join in Montreal, Quebec City, or Halifax? Our normal sessions here in LA include a good mix of ex-Pro, Major Junior, and NCAA players, so something finding similar would be great.

I've been looking at different rinks online, but finding pick-up sessions on their public schedules has been difficult. I'd appreciate any tips on private skates or regular pick-up groups that could use an extra guy. A heads up on nice rinks or shops to check out is appreciated as well.

I'll be in Montreal/Quebec City from 5/5 - 5/12 and in Halifax from 5/13 - 5/20. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Happened to stumble into a game today at the Bonaventure rink (Montreal). Was a lot of fun and they said they play every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:15-1:45. Wheelsnipe was there too. Costs 10$, definitely worth it.

Sounds good. I can probably join you guys on Mon 5/8 and maybe on Fri 5/12.

Their website mentions these reservations cards you can buy. Do I need one of those to get a spot, or can I just show up 30-45 mins before and walk on?

The card allows you to reserve a place earlier in the day. Mondays and Wednesdays you can walk on, Fridays fill up, so you won't be able to walk on Friday, as everyone with a card reserves and it fills.
