I love my Alpha.  Got the free one in an 85 flex, and it was a bit too stiff for me. Granted I'm 5'7 and cut my stick to my chin without skates on, so that increased the stiffness a lot.  Even though I got a free one, I bought another one in a 75 flex.  Its great.  Has the same feel and everything as the 85 flex, but I can get off a little bit faster of a shot because of the lower flex. My main favorite part of the stick is how the shaft feels in my hands (that's what she said) and the puck feel. I loved my QRLs before this because I rarely ever take any slapshots or one timers, but the kickpoint on the QX works for me as well. Aside from the stick feeling stiffer than marked, I haven't had any negatives with it. I love the softer grip on the stick, as well as the ribbing and shape of the shaft.

I think the stick is a good stick. I liked it but wasn't blown away by any attribute. The shaft shape is nice and I like the control of the stick but IMO they play a lot stiffer than advertised and the shot feedback is crap. Puck feel is nice but it is eccentric. It almost gives me the sensation that the blade broke when receiving hard passes even though it obviously didn't. Would I say this stick is a home run? No... maybe a double. I was much more impressed by the QRL but honestly I'll probably stick with Bauer. The consistency is there, no Crazy gimmicks, no bs just a lot more simple.

While I agree that people may not find it a game changing stick the more uses I get out of it the more I like it and find that it delivers. In regards to comparing it to the QRL, it would appear that the QRL was a bigger jump in performance but that's also because the dynasty line as well as the dt/qr1 line was extremely underwhelming. Considering this is over taking the dynasty line id consider it a major upgrade.

Maybe I'm just a warrior fanboy, but isn't vampire blood inside the blade a crazy gimmick by bauer?

Every retailer has gimmicks to try and create sales. Bauer/CCM/Warrior are no different in that aspect.

MIC Franchise gloves for sale? PM me!

I don't think it's necessarily gimmicky because of the gel does what it's advertised to do then I could see it helping out with durability and companies always have to try something new eventually

I completely agree, I was just pointing out that what 60PlusWinger said about Bauer not having any gimmicks was incorrect.

I didn't say any. I said "no Crazy gimmicks" which obviously may be subjective. In my opinion they have the best R&D department, The best product consistency and they tend to stick to what works. I don't even currently own any Bauer sticks. CCM and Easton in fact.

These two things are opposites. Bauer is great for consistency, but they sure aren't coming up with anything special and innovative lately.

I think the Renewcore blade is the most innovative tech since Easton came out with the elliptical S17.

60plus you should try TRUE. I was a skeptic but then I got my hands on the A6.0SBP it's the best stick I've used since the One95.

Custom everything.
