Frank has always been a top bloke with me when I've purchased stuff in the past even when things happen outside of his control like postal carrier losing/damaging items.

I don't see why you cannot just say no thanks or be like some others and say nothing at all either way no one is forcing you to pay or even buy these gloves this was just a suggested price as is no one is forcing you to be a member in this site, if you don't like it then jog on

I had 6 different pairs of these made in Canada AX1s, including an identical pair of this black pair. I wish I could have gotten anywhere near that much for them, but I don't begrudge anyone trying to make some money off gloves that are no longer made. While I certainly wouldn't pay that much for these, mark ups aren't all that rare around here. When I sold mine, I sold a couple of pairs in the $150-$200 range, which is in the range I paid when a lot of them went up on prostockhockey. I'd imagine the Oilers or Tampa Thirds might go for more now than I sold them for, but that's the way this marketplace works. People pay what they want.

You certainly don't have to buy these, and Frank certainly can name whatever price he wants to get for them. Posting negotiations out in the open is always fun for the peanut gallery and popcorn crowd, but usually both parties come out looking bad. He asked a lot of these gloves, but that's his prerogative. He didn't post these. He offered them to you. You've solicited me for a similar pair too, so he's probably seeing you as willing to pay, since you're going through the trouble of PMing people about gloves they don't have for sale. You whining about it makes you the loser in this post.

People sell if they want to. I've sold several pairs for far more than $400, so that isn't unheard of. Of course those were actually one of a kind gloves. So I'm kind of amused by the rarest of the rare comment. ;)

P.s. this is why I avoid the "gear wanted" section.

I do feel like maybe there was a better way to go about that conversation though. Instead of asking if 450 was a typo, I'd probably just say what my price range was and politely ask if he could come down to somewhere in that area. The price is what it is but you don't have to be mad at the guy just because he wants a lot. He probably likes them and wants a lot. I've done that too for sure. Nothing rude about just politely declining because it's too much for you.

Short version: be nice to people

If you don't like the price, move on. Trying to black list a highly reputable member here probably wasn't the brightest idea either. Don't be a child, if you have an issue with it deal with it, don't run and be a town crier for your disagreement in price. That's my 2 cents

Hijack: what's so special about the yellow 1? I've gotten three presumably non-MIC pairs from PSH, and the oldest of the three ("team stock" Canucks) has the yellow 1 in the jewel. Does that make it special somehow? The other two pairs I've ordered more recently are all white jewels. By comparison, the current listing for my Canucks glove is all white on PSH. What gives?

The yellow 1 was made on a different line. These gloves are made of only the finest tufftek in the world. The yellow jewel ax1 is usually screened on to not harm the material too much (the adhesive can ruin the durability). Therefore these gloves are made to last longer.

They're the PF Flyers of the hockey world. They can make any kid (or pro) skate faster and shoot harder.

To add to lank: I believe it was Kovy who wanted the yellow 1 to match his Atlanta color way, and they just kept it.

According to my source, the NHLPA wanted some color variations on the gloves and commissioned Warrior to make the Dynasty AX1 with a yellow "1" as a symbol of solidarity between the players.

Well, the NHL and Gary Bettman stepped in and dropped the hammer on the whole thing, and told Warrior to start screening the "1" in white unless they wanted sanctions levied against them.

The feud eventually led to the Montreal Warrior factory being shut down and production getting shipped overseas.

This is basically why we don't have MIC warrior gloves anymore.  All over a little yellow "1."

The yellow 1 MIC were the first batch of AX1s made, then the over seas samples had ax1, then the mic logo was all white and then the silver jewel that are most common today.
