Does anyone have any info on these shot blockers?   I would really like to give them a try.  My skate fenders seem bulky.

Thanks!

A buddy of mine had them and had to take them off after a while because they started holding sweat in them and were moulding his 1S

For beer league? Hell I barely cross the red line for defense let alone taking a shot to the skate. Just stop trying so hard and cherry pick

I don't understand either of these points. How would a piece of plastic adhered to the outside of a curve composite boot hold in sweat ? Also not clear what you mean by molding? Thanks

I don't always Laugh Out Loud, but when I do, I make sure to tell someone I did.

It's not actual plastic it's almost like a dense foamy material

If your interested in the kind the NYR use just shoot me a message with what kind/size skate you wear. We have plenty of them hanging around since most customers want us to take them off if their buying a used pair of skates.

If you want the dense foam type blocker then contact CSW as stated above.

Don't ask me but that's what he said when I asked him why he took them off. They held moisture in maybe from water and it snuck in pockets where the glue loosened

Do they add a lot of weight to the skate?

I contacted Joe at Custom Skateworks. He said the adhesive blockers would be available for retail in late 2018. He did not have any other suggestions for other adhesive blockers.

I work construction and have a 2 year-old and a new born. My wife stays at home with them so breaking a foot playing rec hockey would be bad for us.

I'd prefer to stay away from non adhesive shot blockers.

Any other ideas or anyone know how to source an adhesive material directly?

Johnyo, I have a few shot blockers that might work for you. Send me a message and I'll send some pics your way. Same blockers the Rangers/Leafs are wearing
