still too expensive for a cheapskate like me. I probably got an email from the Preds. I've been to probably 6 games the last few 2 seasons. great arena!

Third period, Pens without a shot on goal in 36 minutes, Guentzel breaks out 1 on 1, scores. The most frustrating kinda goal.

Preds haven't played in a week? First Cup appearance for the franchise? After a rough first period and the nerves calmed down, Nashville owned that game. Plus the controversial reversed goal. Pittsburgh better watch out... I'm seeing a lot of cocky Pens fans posting on Facebook about how their team will overcome anything, but in my opinion they were lucky to come out of that game with a win.

if you've never been to a game in Nashville I'd say do everything you can to make it happen. even for just a regular season game it's a great place to watch a game.

I think the Preds will win tonight's game. if they don't there may be a fire sale on tickets for Monday's game. yesterday on StubHub tickets for Game 3 were well over $1000 a piece!

Down to a best-of-three

Penguins are in a boatload of trouble if they cannot find a strategy (for game 5) that mitigates Rinne's ability to play the puck. It completely changes the flow of the game, and Pittsburgh's attack, when those dump-ins get scooped up by Rinne and played to one of their stud defensmen. It makes all of the Pens' speed and skill so much less effective when the Preds' defense never have to turn their backs to the oncoming forecheckers. The Penguins haven't seen a defense the likes of Nashville (almost all of them are skilled defenders, skaters, AND puck-movers) there is not a real weak-link in their 6 blue-liners. Add in Rinne finding his game... It makes things really difficult for Pittsburgh moving forward in the series.

As a proud Pittsburgher, it drives me bonkers that the Penguins struggling against a team is always a Penguin's fault. There is NEVER any credit given to what the other team is doing that is causing them problems. The Predators haven't absolutely dominated this series, thus far, because the Penguins are letting them. The Preds have dictated since the start of the second period in Game One, and if not for some suspect goal-tending by Rinne in games one and two, this thing may have been over last night.

I thought in game 2 they had come up with some kind of short-side dump-in that made it difficult for Rinne to come out and play it?

in any case, imo the Pens are just out of gas at this point. it has become virtually impossible in today's NHL for teams to go back to back.

Was it you JoeyJ or your brother that was wanting a Crosby trade a year or two ago? And Shoey I expected more. So easy for you guys to give up on the Pens.
