I just got myself a retail CCM Super Tacks girdle, size Large (came with a size large shell). Looking to pick up a pro stock shell. Does the sizing run identical? I am looking at eBay and see some shells in Medium, Medium +1, and Large. Go with the Large?

Medium will fit but I would stick to the same size.

I wear a large Dynasty or 9K girdle and prefer the fit of a medium shell, all comes down to preference.  The only shell that I don't like in a medium is the Easton girdle shell, it was a little too short.

 

Since you already have a large shell, why not get a medium pro stock and see how you like the fit?

I have the new tacks and both work fine, medium will give you a little more of a clean fit.

Just curious if the pro stock and the retails run identical in size. I know that in some shells or pants, pro stock sizes (I wanna say Warrior Franchise pants??) do not equal retail. So yes, I will pay attention to the Large girdle/ Large retail fit today (playing pickup in 2 hours), and then may grab a medium girdle in pro stock if I think that I could benefit from a tighter fitting wrap. (Good call)

My rule of thumb for CCM/RBK for a large girdle:
PP10 - small/medium
PP90 - medium/large/xl
9KA/C - medium/large

After pickup tonight, I noticed that the zippers in my retail large shell were riding up from skating in the retail large girdle. I think large is the right fit, assuming that the pro stock shells run identical to the retail shells size wise.

Im going to get the super tacks girdle, i have a total one right now but the girdle looks too good to pass up

After a few years what size shells work best based on a size XL super tacks girdle?
