Hey all, do you use butt end or plug at the end of stick or go without? What are advantages of using one or does it make any difference?

I use one, but if it falls out I don't lose sleep over it.

Butt end. My obsessive compulsive mind can't live with the fact that something might fall in there.

Would usually end up losing mine. The end cap i guess is made for caution when it comes to players safety. That's my guess.

This   and if I buy a used stick or lose the end cap I just tape it over before taping the stick up.

So structurally it makes no difference? Only between the ears I am to assume.

Tape over mine as well, some plugs are so loose that they go flying after few shots :D

If you want to keep the end cap, buy some stick glue. Will keep it in place.

Always use a butt plug. My OCD would drive me nuts if it wasn't there. Put a little tape around it if it comes out too easy. I also always use the same plugs because I like rubbing the center jewel on the warrior plugs during games.😏

I just acquired a stick without one that is why I was asking, I usually use the one that comes with it and tape over it and all that good stuff. Was more asking if it was necessary and seems just to be a personal preference but not essenfial. Thanks

i use to take them out, but then i noticed i'd wear a hole in my palm faster.

now i keep it in and tape over it so it doesn't fall out and my palm lasts longer

I grabbed one from a broken stick after my game and re-taped to take care of any doubt I had in my mind. Problem solved!

I take around the sides to keep it in but not over it.  Always needs to be one of those soft rubbery easton/bauer ones too

Recently discovered the importance of keeping the end cap in last weekend when my stick coat on the net and I rammed my rib right into the knob. Glad those Bauer butt ends are a huge chunk of rubber!
