Zach Bogosian has agreed to terms on a new two-year, $5 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

The deal will pay Bogosian $2 million this season and $3 million next year.

Bogosian became a restricted free agent after his three-year $2.625 million entry level deal expired after the end of last season.

The 21-year-old defenceman had five goals and 12 assists in 71 games for the Thrashers last season. He averaged 22:24 of ice time last season with 111 hits and was a minus-27.

Bogosian was the third overall pick in the 2008 Entry Draft and has spent his entire career within the Thrashers/Jets organization. In 2009-10 he set a Thrashers franchise record with 196 hits.
