Hi all -- Does anyone know of a P28 pro model that maintains the lie and blade shape of a stock p28 pattern but has a more toe biased or toe kinked curve?  Thanks in advance!

I believe something like this was floating around. Timmy Fooj would know.

I believe kovalchuk had a model, as well as, David Clarkson with that type of blade. It doesn't have a kink, however. It's that same shape and lie as p28 but with much greater curve in the toe.

The picture doesn't do it justice. I had a clarkson once and the curve in person is much more dramatic than a standard p28

Purcell's pro curve looks like a noticeably larger p28 to me

I picked up a Anton Rodin pro stock with those exact specs but the toe kink was added manually he has a standard Mike fisher p28 then adds a kink by heating the blade and bending he my have got it made for him now through Bauer I can't be sure

This.  Its an e28 but with the toe pocket cranked over more.  Probably the closest and most functional version of what youre looking for.

Awesome.  Thanks, everyone.

I should have mentioned in my post that I'm left-handed. The Purcell and Clarkson patterns look fantastic but are of course rh. @Aussiescott -- I was just looking at photos of Rodin, and that looks nearly perfect, so thanks for that!

Rodin's looks like a P28 with a Benn style kink, which I think is exactly what I'm looking for.  That said, I bet you are right and he added the kink himself.  It's a super common thing for Swedish pro players (especially in the leagues below the SHL). I used to do it myself.  It was great for a period and half until the blade crumbled to pieces.

Super appreciated.

The Nesterov sticks here aren't exactly P28 with more toe, more of a P92 with more toe, but probably as close as you're going to get.

Custom everything.

Abdelkader's most recent curve has a nice kink in the toe. I can't remember if it's more heel curve before the kink or mid though. I'll try to remember to snap a pic of one next time I'm down at the Wings store.

His early curves were all heel so I'd think heel with kink, like the Nystrom sticks in JC's link.

Quick pic of the Abby curve. I didn't realize until after, but the kink is definitely more noticeable in person than in this pic. I believe it was a 90 or 95 flex. The only ones they had at the store were signed, so pricey, but I'm sure they'll get more in later on in the year.

Honestly, it's tough for me to tell as a righty. LH curves always look funny to me. Haha

That looks really close to a Setoguchi clone, if that helps any.

I agree.  Very nice.  Looks to me like its original form was a p91.
