Are there any guys who had worn new STX Stallion HPR elbow?

Usually I choose size small. If CCM, I choose Medium. How about HPR's sizing?

I wear the surgeon 500s in a Medium and I find them to run a little shorter than other Medium elbow pads.  I would kill for that small piece of fabric that keeps the 360 strap in its place though.

Wow these look really nice. I've been looking to replace my Jofa's for a while now.

Has anyone tried these on before? How deep do they fit?

Just mentioned these in another thread... I've tried these on a few times in store and am in love with them, will def be buying them in the near future.  I currently wear CCM RBZ's and the STX have a similar 3 piece design that I like but they're a longer pad than the CCM's (esp on the forearm where I find my RBZ's are pretty short).  I wear a small CCM elbow pad and the small STX fit me really well, the forearm pad wrapped a bit further around my (skinny) arm than the CCM does and the strapping system really seemed to keep it in place from what I could tell.

Yesterday I chatted with HockeyMonkey and he said he has felt that HPR was almost the same fitting as CCM elbows but little smaller. How do you feel about HPR elbows' sizing compared to CCM RBZ?

For me, being 5'9" but with skinny arms (esp. skinny forearms) I found the STX wrapped better/further around my forearms than the CCM's (which leave a gap).  The STX have a sleeve type system that you have to slide into, then the traditional bicep strap and the forearm strap which wraps all the way around and provides more of a range of fit since there's a ton of velcro.  I can see with the sleeve that it's a bit narrower fitting than the CCM so for someone with larger biceps/forearms it might be a tighter fit.

Fmmm... it's hard to make my mind whether I should take small or medium...

I'm 168cm (roughly 5'5") though CCM medium is better for me against to forearm thickness. Always I choose my gears by better fitting (cup depth or width), not length. Certainly it looks thinner than current any elbows on the market.

I have really skinny arms and these are fantastic. Had to go down a size (med to small) to get it to fit right. Definitely a shallow cup and narrow width

Tell me about it. I have been wearing the Surgeon 500s for a couple years, and cannot wait until the next Surgeons release, with this upgrade.
