Hey guys,

About to place a custom stick order through Warrior and I was just wondering if anybody can answer a couple questions for me. Customizer on the website isn't very descriptive/helpful.

First off, for stick finish, can anybody describe what the "velvet" and "pro grip" options are? Obviously clear, grip and matte are pretty straightforward.

And second, for stick texture, wondering if anybody could walk me through what exactly these different options are: corner, checker, diamond, chain link, pigskin, and barber pole.

Much appreciated!

Velvet grip has almost like a powdery feel to it. It was offered on their AK line around 7 years ago. I always considered it between a clearcoat and their standard "Nipple grip" coating at the time. The only thing out there right now on the retail market that is anywhere remotely close to velvet grip is the lone finish True offers on their retail sticks. And even that is a bit off.

Pro Grip to my knowledge is an extra grippy version of their standard tacky grip finish.

Corner texture would have raised ridges on the corners of the shaft only.
Checker, diamond and chain texture would have a raised texture through both the top/bottom walls and side walls of the shaft.

Barber Pole texture would alternate between smooth finish and texture in a spiral fashion from top to bottom.

I have velvet finish on my Warrior custom that I've had for something like 4 years now. I like the feel and a nice little side benefit is that it seems to resist chipping. I play a fair amount of center so my stick gets whacked plenty but yet it still looks pretty new.

always looking for non Reebok L & XL shells......

Thanks gents! That's good to know about the velvet grip's durability, probably what I'll go with.

This photo shows a few of the textures pretty well

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

Are you able to order right off the website now or still have to bring order to retailer
