Mr. Bower passed away this morning at age 93. He was truly one of the greatest gentlemen of the game. Also a delight to speak with and one of the best.

Really sad to hear. He always sounded genuine and honest whenever you’d see him on tv, in interviews or on the radio. He definitely was an inspiration to players and leaf fans everywhere. Even though the majority of us never got to see him play you could tell how much of an impact he was on the Toronto Maple Leafs as a whole. Being part of the leafs meant a lot to him. He always seemed very proud to represent the leaf’s either by being a player or part of leafs nation as a fan and spokesperson. He demonstrated what it was like to bleed blue.

Rip Mr Johnny Bower and thanks for everything.
