BASE Hockey is investing in some new infrastructure and technology which will allow us to have more control over the production and modification of patterns. Accordingly, we're interested in knowing what new patterns people would be interested to see. Below, I've included some possibilities we've discussed, but I'd also like to get suggestions from you. I'll be keeping a tally of interested people for each pattern. If you want your choice to have more traction, you can PM me or post here to indicate what type of order you'd be interested in if your preferred pattern was created (e.g. 1-3 OPS, 10-12 blades, etc.), but you don't have to.

 

-Max height patterns: e.g. BC88M, BC92M, BC28M

 

-Different lies: e.g. BC88 lie 5, BC28 lie 6, BC05 lie 5

 

-New patterns: e.g. Warrior Gionta, Barkov Pro, Ovechkin Pro, Hull Pro

Some other options are the Kesler/Toffoli pro (Drury with toe kink) or the Benn pro (Sakic with toe kink), but I don't have any pics of those.

If these new patterns were to be offered in tapered blade I'd definitely be interested in trying out a couple, particularly the Barkov pro.

I don’t think so. Given this was the early 2000’s but I had a bunch of Hull Easton blades and their toe was more square than round compared to the hossa, also Hulls blade were thin - blade height minus 1.5 ha.

Also can we get some curves that aren’t toe kink/banana blades?

How about a Gretzky, Lemieux, or a Crosby clone? Would love to see a throw back to either heel curves or the wedges some guys used back in the day.

Shot in the dark, but how tough would it be to make the concave shaft an option? (I believe it was the 11 in Inno days)

Higher lie E28 would be awesome.

 

Hull and Barkov curves look nice as well. Wasn't there talk long ago of a Kovalchuk pro curve? That would pretty much avoid the need for making a Gionta.

Thanks for your input everyone! I'm keeping the big wigs updated, so the more interest we get on this thread, the more it helps me talk them into bringing some new patterns to life. Keep it up!

Tough call. I love trying new curves. My vote was for the Barkov, but all the options listed sound great.

Darby clone would be another for RH users (think you have one for LH). Bauer still offers P89 through MyBAuer, so you’d have to compete with them. Might be tough business wise.

If max height options come out, a BC27 with more height would be a dream for me! With all the rocker, that would be a funky looking blade though!

Of course my pipe dream is a Krejci Pro with a lower lie. Think it’s 6 or 6.5 on most scales and somewhere between 5 and 5.5 would be better. That’s me though!

I personally, along with a few buddies that would kill for the Barkov and Hull pros on OPS's as well as blades.

New here, Def interested in the Hull pro, Barkov pro, and possibly a modified BC14 (hair shorter blade and more closed in the Toe)
