Is it just me, or do I smell weird when I wear a Speedwick? It’s like a really strange BO only when I wear them.....

If you wash them with fabric softener of dry them too hot you can ruin the porous fabric.

Or maybe you just smell?

Good Idea; Whistling while you work.

Bad Idea; Whistling while you eat.

I only smell in the Speedwick. It’s weird...otherwise I smell amazing.

My Bauer baselayers will get smelly over time. Usually after two-3 years, I play a few times a week and run 3 sets so do the math. But I’m pretty sure anything that absorbs your sweat all the he time will eventually get smelly.

Looking for BIOSTEEL jersey made by UA or Adidas.

Looking for Bauer Pro defender elbows size Large

I can't speak for hockey baselayers since no matter what I wear I end up smelling like hockey.

But, at work I wear a lot of under armour gear, and after a long day I develop that BO smell which I otherwise don't with cotton. However, I also see the moisture wicking properties big time in summer. So I don't know what to tell you... in my experience if you wear the UA-type stuff you're going to get that funky smell. Especially by your balls. I don't wear UA underwear just for that reason.

Don't throw speedwicks in the dryer. Air dry them on the dryer rack and they will never smell again. They are porous, so if you don't do a great job in the washer, and dry them, it locks the stink in.

Air dry them, either on a hanger or drape them over the shower rod

you'll have to clear the pores as well. NikWax offers a great washing detergent specifically for baselayers. I used it on all my under armour shirts and it works wonders.

There are lots of specific detergents you can get for athletic material and even material with GORTEX (rain coats, etc). MEC (Mountain Equipment Coop) has a lot of them.

https://www.mec.ca/e...h-Wash-Cleanerv

https://www.mec.ca/e...ree-Sports-Wash(8.75$)

You have to become a 'member' but that takes 1min at the cash when you buy it.

Yep. Same here. I used to feel slimy after wearing under armour all day under my body armor. Read somewhere that you shouldn't dry them in dryer. Bought new ones and air dried them. No more "slimy" feeling. I've been using their more "cotton" feeling, non-compression ones lately and prefer them now.
