My girdle needs to be replaced and I’m having a very hard time finding the traditional cup/girdle set up in any of my local Hockey shops and even online. I know this sounds stupid but will the Velcro tabs on current jock setups hold up prostock socks that don’t have have them on? Thanks

It’s always stuck well enough that I’ve never had a problem

Same here. Especially if you're using tape

I just add a patch of the soft velcro side on to my socks...

If you rub them a little extra and put some good pressure on them they stick just fine.

The Velcro works perfectly fine with prostock socks

Garter belt is the way to go.

Pro stock socks will stick to Velcro. The retail versions won't.

If your bag has wheels, you don't.

Retail socks have the Velcro tabs

Speaking of jock shorts has anyone found a brand where the cup stays where it is meant to and not move round so it is horizontal.

You just need to fill out your jock more

Try finding one where the cup is located inside the short and not in a pocket on the outside.

I wear a CCM pro jock and Bauer garter belt. Never had any issues. Took a wrist shot straight to the front of the junk and was able to keep playing just fine. Took a slash to the bottom of the cup and it laid me down good for about 30 seconds. Haven't had any problems holding up pro socks, since that's all I wear. I highly recommend this setup.

I avoid all the hassle and just use Nike Swift socks that come with velcro already sewn on. Complement that with some Bauer compression pants with velcro tabs and I don't even think about whether or not the socks will stay up and whether or not my junk is protected (comes with a cup).

Swift socks > other socks

Well my old Warrior one, the cup was located on the outside, I didn't have the issue (I've had to bin them, they were torn to shreds)
