So I was told this custom Preds team stock Steel is Tydan.  But I've noticed the  (CL) engraved on the steel is also on most pairs of Step steel.  anyone know what the CL means?  and if it is on both Tydan and Step steel?

Not entirely sure, but it's not unique: http://www.sports2k....ormance-blades/(take a look at the 5th image from the top)

Tydan Steel.

Wally from Carolina supplies them I believe who use to work with Step for all his steel, but when Step couldn't keep up with production he moved over to Tydan, and thats when they started to put the LC profile marks on the blades. Saves me a lot of time when setting up the Prosharp.
